Family Reunion

My family had our annual family reunion last Mon. thru Thurs. We stayed at a cabin at Daniel's Summit. We all had a wonderful time. The kids had a lot of fun with their cousins. We fished, did crafts, played games, ate and ate and ate, roasted marshmallows. watched movies and just had a good ole time laughing. Mon. evening we did a balloon launch in honor of Samuel. We all wrote a note to him and tied it to a balloon and then let them all go at once. It was a neat experience. Laura and Roy then gave us all a collage of pictures of Samuel. We all miss him so much. Tues. evening we had a family program. We won't mention that the boys were not there because they were helping Rick get his truck out of a predicament(moral of the story don't take the unknown scenic route). Anyway the kids all did a cute job sharing their talents. Megan read a poem she wrote with her cousin Lissa, Cassidy sang "A Peanut Sat on a Railroad Track", Logan attempted to sing "Schideraminkydinkydoo" (spelling?) but he got a little shy and kind of just mouthed it while everyone else sang. Grandma told a story of one of our ancestors. It was a very cute program. At the cabin there was a huge tire swing and on the last day I got brave enough to go for a ride. Thanks Dad and Rick for making this fat lady go so high. :) It was a bit scary. We missed Debbie and her family being there. On Saturday us Sisters got together and worked some more on the scrapbook of all of Sammy's pictures. I forgot my camera so I don't have pics. of that but Saturday night everyone came over to watch the fireworks on our lawn. It was a fun ending to a fun week.
